Which dating apps do you think are the best and worst?

I think a lot of this depends on your age and where you live, but I have been a member of 8 dating sites/apps in the past 6 months and definitely think some are better than others but it also depends what you’re looking for I think

Now I have:
Bumble
Tinder
Hinge
Plenty of fish
Coffee meets bagel

I used to have:
Badoo
Ok cupid
Match

My favourite by a long stretch is definitely bumble. Out of all my apps, I think I probably spend the most time on this one. The men on bumble most of them reply, they seem genuine about what they want and are good at holding a conversation. A lot of potential dates in my inbox and the women having to message first means you won’t get overloaded by any dirty messages
Hinge is ok, yet again men who make a effort but I don’t really understand how the app works tbh. I have a meaningful connection already though by the looks of it!
Tinder seemed good at first, I am really popular on there but too many matches suddenly become pushy or force contact cards on me before I’m ready

Coffee meets bagel is the worst for me, it’s absolute ****! I haven’t had a single match so might just delete it actually. I don’t like cos I can’t browse properly, There’s hardly anyone near me and the only ones I like are at least 28 so a bit too old! but plenty of fish definitely runs it close, that app I keep cos I am actually talking to a few men on it, but it’s chock full of creeps and you get overloaded by those types on there! POF is also the most common it seems for matches ignoring you (I hate that)

I was cursed on badoo, ok cupid is not for me and match is ok but I think it’s meant for older people tbh

I found pof pretty good.
eharmony is kinda trash imo.

Though i have now deleted all dating apps and dont plan on using any again any time soon.

Bumble or hinge are definitely the best! Most of the men are super fit too which definitely helps haha, and I agree the men seem genuine in my experience too. No one on either of those apps were looking for fun or hookups
I absolutely hate POF and tinder, they're where all the perverts are although tinder has much younger perverts. Tinder is the most popular but only on numbers, the quality of men is absolute crap on there unless you only want a hookup. None of my matches on tinder were serious or even looking to see what happened they just wanted what they could get, and the only reason I downloaded it is cos I knew it would have the most men on it. I know now tinder is known for being hookups only, but I didn't realise it actually was til I joined! Pof i think has a lot of false profiles, it's the oldest dating app around so it's not run properly. Also they do nothing about reported members if you have evidence against them e.g. Insults but do take Action if you only have a sneaky suspicion about someone
I've never heard of coffee meets bagel or badoo. I thought ok cupid and match were for middle aged, so never had them

Worst;
All of them

I've used several and preferred Tinder just due to to the sheer number of people using it. Even living in the middle of nowhere it's easy to find people who live nearby using it.

Tinder - okay but as a guy slightly frustrating due to rate of no replies (and I never just message "Hey, how are you?"). I'd say reply rate to first message is around 1 in 5. But met cool people so not complaining.

Bumble - Also my favourite, girls here seemed more my type and conversations more natural than Tinder. Since they message first or the match expires I think less people are only collecting likes. Met my current gf there.

Hinge - Tried but never managed to meet anyone from it. I don't like the dynamic, I prefer the swipe mechanic rather than having to leave a message for someone who may not be interested (feels weird). Basically didn't find it fun.

I tried a few others but they weren't popular in my small university town.

Absolutely can’t stand hinge, really don’t know why it so popular? Like someone else said you gotta leave a message instead of swiping. Someone left me a message on hinge so I replied to them and then they unmatched me so I think hinge is a waste of time, bumble has the most natural conversations but people lazily just send gifs to start conversation instead of talking! Tinder is hookup central, and POF is creepy af. I haven’t been on the others, but I think of the ones you mentioned that I have been on I don’t have a favourite cos they all have really bad cons! None of them are worth it.

I think all dating apps are bad to be honest, but the worst by far I'd say is OkCupid. I used to kinda like it a few years back as it seemed to have far more interesting people on it then compared to apps like Tinder. The issue nowadays is they almost feel like a complete scam that are not even shy at admitting that all they want is your money.

They hide profiles that have liked you behind a paywall that costs £20 to buy! Per Month!. I also honestly believe that they'll purposely hide you from profiles you've liked if you don't have a subscription since I never match with a profile EVER. You could put that down to me not being exactly "desirable" but I'd think after matching with over 40 people, at least one of them would like you back.
